Description

Enjoy this easy baked salmon recipe for a flavorful and healthy meal! Learn how to bake salmon perfectly flaky and moist every time. This quick, weeknight-friendly dinner is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each, skin on or off)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon (half sliced and half juiced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (dill, thyme, or rosemary, chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Get Started:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup, if you like.

Prepare the Salmon:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.

Season and Flavor:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped herbs.
  2. Pour the mixture over the salmon fillets, making sure to coat them evenly.
  3. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place lemon slices on top of each salmon fillet.

Bake:

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  2. To check for doneness, insert a fork into the thickest part of the salmon and gently twist. If it flakes apart, it’s done. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Serve:

  1. Carefully remove the baked salmon from the oven.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite sides. This baked salmon recipe pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad. And if you are looking for a simple side, why not try a quick Vegetable Sandwich Recipe?
